Around Snowmass Village

In the midst of Colorado's Rocky Mountains, Snowmass Village offers outdoor lovers a destination where they can discover their outside side. Replete with opportunity for adventure, Snowmass Village is also very easy to navigate with a few basic tips and tricks. 

Directions & Parking

Follow I-70 west to Glenwood Springs. From Exit 116 at Glenwood Springs, follow the signs for Hwy 82. Follow the signs for Snowmass Village/Snowmass Ski Area. In approximately 38 miles, turn right onto Brush Creek Road at the traffic light, following signs toward Snowmass Village/Snowmass Ski Area.

Take Brush Creek Road for six miles until you enter Snowmass Village. On your right will be the Village Center and a small Conoco gas station. Take a left here onto Wood Road. Take an immediate right at the fork in the road on to Carriage Way. We are located approximately 2 1/2 blocks up the road on the left hand side – directly across from parking lots #1 and #2.

Parking is available in the adjacent town lots. There is a charge by the Town of Snowmass Village of $17.50/day in the winter, which you can pay upon check-in to receive your permit. There is no charge for parking in the town lots in summer and fall.

Getting around town with local transportation

Throughout the year, Aspen Snowmass provides complimentary public transportation between all 4 mountains and Aspen and Snowmass. 

The Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA) provides buses between Aspen and Snowmass and spots in between. See the bus schedule here >

Dining and shopping in Snowmass Village

Restaurants in Snowmass Village are, for the most part, casual and family-friendly. The Artisan, on the lobby level of the Stonebridge Inn, is open for breakfast daily, as well as happy hour and dinner Thursday through Monday evenings from 3:30 p.m. 

Other restaurants are located throughout the Snowmass Mall and in Base Village, as well as Town Center. There are plenty of shops to browse in - from global outdoor retailers like Burton to Colorado-based boutique outfitters like Strafe and Gorsuch to small local boutiques.

Things to do in Snowmass Village

A bustling mountain town in both winter and summer, there are plenty of activities in Snowmass Village to keep you busy when you are not creating your own adventures in the mountains. We've cultivated a few of our favorite summer activities here and things to do when you're not skiing in winter here.  There is also plenty of live music and culture in Snowmass Village and Aspen.
